Camera Work
- Mainly mediam close up, or close up of probs being smashed or broken.
- Then long shot of everything together, all broken
- Median close up of dog looking scared, could mean the dog is all alone.
- Median shot of man laying on floor, then close up of his hand, and then close up of his face; the man looks like he’s dead. This can suggest that the man trashed his house.
- Don’t see a character for a while, then camera creeps around the corner, to find a body lying on the floor. This keeps the audience intrigued and curious on what’s around the corner.
- First shot is out of focus at start, and then it focus pulls.
- Close up of glass, then median shot of where the glass came from.
Mise en Scene
- Smashed objects show us some one could have smashed the place.
- Lighting is quite chilled and light, which creates a contract on how to room it self looks, and as well with the bodying there.
- No dialog is used.
- The characters body gives us a hint that he is dead, because the way he is lying, and the way his hand doesn’t move, when the camera focus on it.
- The characters face doesn’t move for a while, giving us another impression that he is dead. Until he blinks and he takes a deep breath.
Editing
- (flash back) the beginning of the film could be the end of the story
- Lots off long takes. Each shot lasts for about 4 seconds, or more. This makes makes the audience take in on what has actually happened.
- Slow pace
- Editing fits in with the music, going at the same pace as the song.
Sound
- The music in the background could either be a diagetic sound or non-diagetic. Seeing as the character could be listening to the song while he is lying there, but however we don’t see anything playing the song. So this song could also be a soundtrack.
- The song contracts with what is happening on the set. Seeing as the song is a love song, and what is on set is the opposite. But this could tell us a lot about the character. How he could have messed the set up, because he was heart broken.
