180 Degree rule

The 180 degree rule keeps each character on their own side to keep the audience engaged and not confused. It is essential to continuity editing.

Set locations

This is the door from the beginning shot where the male character walks through the door only showing his hand in a CU.
This the location at where we will be doing most of our filming and where the two characters hold their convocation.

Match on action

Match on action means that when
something happens, such as a door
opening, the action flows continuously
from one shot to the next. It’s an example
of continuity editing.

Shot reverse shot

Shot reverse shot is a film technique
where one character is shown looking
at another character, and then the other
character is shown looking back at the
first character. Since the characters are
shown facing in opposite directions,
the viewer assumes that they are
looking at each other.
